Dr. Amalia Androulidaki

Amalia Androulidaki is an Architect, a graduate of the School of Architecture of the NTUA and holds a Master's and PhD in Monument Restoration from the University of Edinburgh. She has been serving in the Ministry of Culture since 1987 and has dedicated her career to the protection and restoration of monuments (ancient and modern), archaeological sites and cultural buildings. Since 2018 she has been Director General for the Restoration, Museums and Technical Works at the Greek Ministry of Culture.

Ms Androulidaki's work currently focuses on the study, supervision and restoration of monuments and cultural buildings in Greece. She is responsible for the coordination and supervision of the Central and Regional Services working for the protection of monuments, their surroundings and historical and archaeological sites.

Dr. Panagiotis Balabanis

Panagiotis Balabanis holds a Diploma from the Agricultural University of Athens, Greece (1982), a Master Degree (D.E.A) and a Doctorate from the University J.Fourrier, Grenoble I, France (1987). From January 1990 to May 2024, Panagiotis Balabanis worked at the European Commission, DG Research and Innovation and he is actually, active senior within the unit “Ocean, Seas and Waters”. During those years, Panagiotis Balabanis has been involved in the definition and implementation of successive European research programmes in the field of water, environment, circular economy and sustainable development and he served as head of sector “Water”, “Circular Economy” and “Mission and Partnerships Ocean and Waters”. In November 2022, Panagiotis Balabanis has been elected as external member of the Management Board of the Agricultural University of Athens, for four years.

Dr. Elena Lopez Gunn

Dr Elena Lopez Gunn is Founder and CEO of ICATALIST, and Senior Research Fellow at the Royal Elcano Institute. She is a member of the European Scientific Advisory Board on Climate Change (ESABCC) and Lead Author of IPCC Working Group II on Adaptation, vulnerability and impacts. She is an EU Climate Pact ambassador, and part of the UNESCO Task Force on a Science Based Water Assessment. She collaborated as an Expert in the Spanish Citizens' Climate Change Assembly She has a PhD from King's College, a Masters from the University of Cambridge and a Master in Investigative Journalism data and Visualization from Juan Carlos I University.

Stella KYVELOU is professor in Spatial Planning and Sustainable Development incl. Maritime Spatial Planning (MSP),at Panteion University. She’s the Eastern Mediterranean sea-basin expert of the European MSP Platform. Architect-Engineer NTUA and holding a PhD in Spatial, Regional and Urban Planning of the University Paris I-Panthéon-Sorbonne, Stella specializes in European environmental policy, territorial development and cohesion, MSP and regenerative blue economy, green buildings and infrastructure. Currently PI of the HER-SEA project developing an Observation Network and CoP for Maritime Cultural Heritage and coordinator of the REGINA-MSP Project, involving Regions in national MSP, Stella is also member of the Hellenic National Spatial Planning Council, vice president of board of the INGO EUROPA with a consultative status to the CoE and president of the French-Hellenic SDMED Association (www.sd-med.org). In 2011, she was awarded the distinction of «Chevalier à l’ordre de Palmes Académiques».

Dr. Francesco Musco

Francesco Musco, is full Professor in Urban Planning and Design at the Department of Architecture and Arts – Università Iuav di Venezia, where he serves as Director of Research. Founder and director until 2022 of the MSc In Urban Planning for Transition and coordinator of the MSc in Science and Design for Maritime Spatial Planning. His career is characterized by a multidisciplinary approach to urban and environmental planning. In recent years, he has concluded his research on the relationship between urban planning, design, sustainability, and resilience, with particular attention to processes of sustainable urban regeneration and their contribution to climate-proof planning in coastal cities. In 2011 he founded the Planning & Climate Change Lab (PCCL) active in applied research and consultancy to support innovations for planning and designing resilient cities at international level.

Dr. Maria P. Papadopoulou

Dr. Papadopoulou is Professor and Director of Laboratory of Physical Geography and Environmental Impacts at the School of Rural, Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineering (SRSGE), National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Since 2018, she serves as Deputy Dean at SRSGE, NTUA. In August 2020, she was appointed BoD Chair at Natural Environment and Climate Change Agency (NECCA) a Legal Entity of Private Law supervised by the Greek Ministry of Environment and Energy responsible for the biodiversity conservation, protection of protected areas and climate change.

Her principal research interests lie in the areas of subsurface water resources modeling and management, groundwater ecosystem services, climate change adaptation, water footprint in agricultural sector, water-energy-food-climate Nexus.

Prof. Papadopoulou currently serves as a member of the National Water Council and the National Committee on Climate Change. In April 2020, she won as part of the Sewers4COVID the 1st prize on Pan-European EUvsVirus Hackathon by introducing an Integrating sewer surveillance solution to support European and global community in the fight against the coronavirus outbreak.

Sanjay is a registered member of the RIBA, UK, Society of American Registered Architects (SARA, New York), Indian Institute of Architecture (IIA), Indian Institute of Interior Designers(IIID) and has been a part of the Heritage Conservation Committee, New Delhi.

With a current firm strength of 108, evolving design solutions that are contextual and sustainable and creating spaces that explore spatial perceptions, with new design directions forms the essence of the firm’s design philosophy.

Georgios Stasinos

Giorgos N. Stasinos is a Dipl. Civil Engineer, a graduate of the University of Patras and works as a Freelance Engineer and Engineering Consultant. He is elected President of the Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE - TCG) from 2015 to the present and member of the TEE Congress from 2006 to the present. He is a member of the Steering Committee of TEE, President of the TEE – TMEDE Institute, a member of the Board of the Organization for the Promotion of Alternative Methods of Dispute Resolution (OPEMED), a member of the Economic and Social Committee of Greece (OKE) and an elected external member of the Management Council of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (EKPA - UoA). He has served as President of the National Youth Council (2004-2010) and President of the Civil Engineers Association of Greece (2012-2014).

Konstantinos Makedos

The Vice-Chairman of the Pancretan Bank, Konstantinos Makedos is a civil engineer and President of the Engineers and Public Works Contractors Fund (TMEDE), since its inception in 2017, where he led its digital transformation and integration into the European Association of Guarantee Institutions (AECM). Under his leadership, TMEDE was approved by the European Central Bank (ECB) as a qualified shareholder. He founded TMEDE Microfinance Solutions, the first microfinance entity licensed by the Bank of Greece. Mr. Makedos also served as Vice-Chairman and later Chairman of Attica Bank, leading its successful initiatives in tax claim management (DTC) and privatization. He holds a Master’s in applied economics and has held various significant roles, including Vice President of the Unified Insurance Fund of Independently Employed (ETAA) and member of the Panhellenic Delegation of the Technical Chamber of Greece.

Manolis Votsis

Manolis Votsis was born in Athens in 1968. He completed his studies at the Department of Architecture of the National Technical University of Athens in 1995. He attended the courses of the spring semester of 1993 at the Departamento de Geografia de Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona within the framework of the Erasmus program. Both during and after the completion of his studies he collaborated with several architectural offices such as Studio-75 Stefanos Kikkos-Pantou, Potiropoulos D+L Architects, Petrou and Marina Koufopoulou. He has participated and been awarded in many Panhellenic architectural competitions. In 2000, he participated in the founding of the cooperative office KOM37-Architects. He is active in a number of projects of different content and scale : urban regeneration, landscaping of outdoor spaces and play areas, design of public and private buildings, renovations of existing buildings, surveys and restoration studies of listed buildings and monuments. Several of these works were published in magazines and participated in exhibitions such as the Biennale of Young Greek Architects and the Biennale of Landscape Architecture of Barcelona.

Pantelis Levantis is the founder and Managing Director of Ecoveritas. Ecoveritas is an invaluable sustainability and project management consultant throughout the lifecycle stages of any building project or property company. It offers one stop shop services for the development, construction, refurbishment, management and operation of sustainable buildings in Greece and abroad. It specializes in the sustainability of the built environment, BREEAM certifications and development of Corporate Sustainability Strategies.

Furthermore, Pantelis is the founder and Managing Director of P. Levantis Development & Construction. A company which operates in the property development market and construction of quality sustainable buildings. Founded in 1949, it capitalizes on its valuable experience and continues in the development and construction of sustainable commercial, residential and resort projects.

Finally, Pantelis has been a founder member and President of SBC GREECE for 6 years and today a member of the Board of Directors.

Graduated in 1979 with an architecture degree from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and earned an MBA in 2008 from the University of Macedonia. Worked as Supervisor and Project Manager for Public Works (1988-1998), then as Head of Architectural Planning and General Director of Technical Departments in Thessaloniki (1998-2021). Delivered lectures on various urban and architectural topics. Served on organizational committees for architectural exhibitions and congresses. Held positions including President of the Architects Association of Thessaloniki (1999-2005), member of SADAS Executive Board (2002-2011), member of ACE Executive Board (2011-2012), and President of the Spatial and Urban Planning Committee of T.C.G. (2011-2012).

Maria Zourna, architect AUTh, MSc Project Management AUTh, former Director of Thessaloniki Metro Development at Attiko Metro SA, is currently Director of Sustainable Mobility at the Municipality of Thessaloniki. Her former positions as manager include the Departments of Urban Planning, Architectural Studies and Municipal Property. She had the opportunity to be involved in the most prominent architectural projects of the city of Thessaloniki, as well as many important projects in the fields of urban development and sustainable mobility. She has also participated in the technical committee of the international architectural contest Arxellence 2, sponsored and launched by ALUMIL SA, under the auspices of UIA, focusing on the new Thessaloniki CBD. She speaks English, French, German and Spanish.
