Tavros Project: ALUMIL supports the first Greek apartment building renovated according to the Passive House Standard
A notably ambitious project has been completed for the first time in Greece, and ALUMIL supported this significant initiative as a sponsor: the Tavros Project is a success story that points the way to the future of construction in Greece.
What did the Tavros Project achieve?
A typical working-class apartment building constructed in the 1970s was renovated according to the Passive House standard. As mentioned on the project's official website, "the objectives of the refurbishment are the minimization of heating and cooling demand provided by conventional means while achieving thermal comfort conditions and quality of internal air." Additionally, a further goal for this apartment building was not only to be energy neutral but also to generate energy that could be used in the future. The organization responsible for this pioneering project is the Hellenic Passive House Institute, in collaboration with Greenpeace and the Municipality of Moschato-Tavros.
ALUMILsupports initiatives such as the Tavros Project, which aims to improve living conditions by creating energy-efficient buildings that contribute to thermal comfort, energy savings, and cost reduction for our fellow citizens.
